Branson - Ozarks, Fall Foliage Photo Excursion

It's time again for an adventure through the Ozarks Mountains of Missouri in pursuit of the beautiful Fall Colors. Fall Colors or not, we always have a blast taking photos everywhere we go on these excursions. Our last trip to Missouri to catch the fall foliage was in 2008 and it's simply time to go again. Anyone who has participated in one of our Photo Excursions already knows how much fun these trips are. Maybe it's time for you to join us and experience the fun for yourself.

We've done several expeditionary trips to this area and it looks like our timing should be good to see some great fall colors on this trip.

The following is a list of sites that will be among our potential stops;

• Cape Fair
• Branson
• Roaring River State Park
• Big Spring Park
• Seneca

We will depart at 6:00 A.M. on Saturday, to arrive in the Ozarks by mid-day. We will be stopping for breakfast along the way to the Ozarks and will have many photo opportunities as we make our way towards Branson. Our arrival in Branson will be somewhere in the late afternoon or early evening to get checked into the hotel. After that we'll head out again for more shooting which will lead into the evening for sunset shots on the lake.

We'll spend the overnight in Branson where you have many options available for entertainment and shopping. You may also opt to stay in Branson for shows and shopping while the rest of us go back out to do more shooting on Saturday. There are a multitude of shows, museums, water parks and shopping, shopping and more shopping. Our hotel should be right on the strip, making it easy for you to take in a show or just enjoy the sights and shops. Meals, transportation and lodging are included in the price of the trip.

On Sunday we'll leave early in the morning to do some more sunrise shooting along our journey back. We'll get on the road at 6:30 and head for a good site to catch the sunrise around 7-7:30. Continuing on from there we'll get breakfast and make several more photo stops as we make our way back to Kansas by late afternoon or early evening.

Transportation (charter bus or van depending on participation), lodging, water and snacks are included in your registration price along with breakfast, lunch and dinner on both Saturday and Sunday. Rooms are double occupancy, but you can upgrade to a private room at a very reasonable rate too.

Membership cost $30 per year, so become a member now and save on future trips too. Member rates are extended to members of the Wichita Area Camera Club also.
